This gentle exercise is perfect for expecting mums, as the water provides both support for your joints and gentle resistance to help strengthen your core and back muscles—getting you ready for baby. You’ll have a warm pool lane all to yourself, with lifeguards on hand for extra peace of mind. (1.8m pool depth, lane swimming.)

Find balance and calm with Pregnancy Yoga. These classes are designed to relax your body and mind while gently preparing you for childbirth. With safe, soothing poses and techniques, you’ll feel connected and centered at every stage of your pregnancy. Don’t forget to bring a small pillow and blanket!

Non-Pregnancy specific alternatives
Just because you are pregnant doesn't mean you can no longer attend your favourite classes, which you attended in the weeks prior, and have to attend specific targeted classes. Many of our classes across our Group Fitness timetable can be adapted to keep you active throughout pregnancy.

Antenatal FAQs
Physical activity during pregnancy has many health benefits and is generally not risky for you and your baby. But for some conditions, physical activity is not recommended. If you have any concerns please speak to you GP or midwife before taking part in any classes.
Therapeutic aquatic exercise has been demonstrated to improve pain and mobility for conditions such as lower back pain, hip and knee osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, post-surgery hip and knee rehabilitation, ankle injuries, shoulder injuries and a multitude of other musculoskeletal conditions.
In many research studies participants have reported that aquatic rehabilitation resulted in less pain during and after sessions, contributing to longer-term reductions in pain, improvement in mobility and strength.
