Pickleball
Pickleball started in America in the 1960s, when a few dads created a fun new game to play with their kids. Now, it's the fastest-growing sport in the world, and it's taking off in Dundee!
This family-friendly game is low-impact and packed with fun, perfect for everyone—whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro. Scotland’s Judy Murray is proudly representing Pickleball Scotland, and even tennis legends like Andy Roddick and Andre Agassi have joined in. If they love it, you will too!
Pickleball is played with paddles and a lightweight ball on a court about the size of a badminton court. The goal is simple: hit the ball over the net and stop your opponents from returning it. Games are usually played in doubles to 11 points.
Where to Play: DISC, Douglas, Menzieshill, Grove, Harris, and St Paul's
Free for Active Dundee members. Non-members pay £4.30 for adults and £3.30 for concessions and under 18s.
Court Hire: Standard £11, Concession £7, Juvenile £7 per court
