In partnership with Dundee City Council, Active Dundee provides discounted memberships, activities, and bookings for residents who meet certain financial or social disadvantage criteria. This initiative ensures that everyone can access a healthy and vibrant lifestyle, free from barriers.

All about Membership

Active Dundee is available to residents of Dundee who meet any of the following criteria:

  • Over 66
  • Receiving Housing Benefit/Council Tax Reduction
  • Receiving Working Tax Credits (subject to income)
  • Supported under part VI of the Immigration & Asylum Act 1999
  • Unemployed & receiving Income Support/Jobseekers Allowance (income based) or Employment & Support Allowance (Income Related) 

The concession discount is applicable on:

Active Unlimited Adult memberships from Active Dundee (£27 per month, instead of £32) 

Included

Golf Dundee Concession Memberships on 18-hole and 9-hole courses

Included

Activity bookings including racket sports, court hire, group exercise classes, gym sessions and swimming

Included

Admission to Camperdown Wildlife Park (excluding special events)

Included

Admission to Dundee Ice Arena for public skate sessions (excluding skate hire)

Applying for your Active Concession is quick and easy!

Just use the webform below to share your details and upload proof of eligibility. You'll need:

  • Proof of address (e.g. a recent utility bill)
  • Proof of age (e.g. a passport or driving license)  
  • Or a current letter confirming entitlement to any of the listed benefits.

Important Note: A National Entitlement Card can’t be used as proof, as these are issued for various reasons.

Linking Your Leisure Concession to Your National Entitlement Card (NEC)

Want to keep things simple? You can add your Leisure Concession to your National Entitlement Card (NEC)! Just tick ‘yes’ and provide the card number—it’s the number below your name on the front of your card, starting with 6337. This makes it easy to access Leisure and Culture Dundee services, public transport, and more with one convenient smartcard.

Alternatively, you can apply in person at any of the following locations taking your proof of eligibility: 

  1. Leisure concessions are available to all residents of Dundee who qualify under any of the following criteria:
    • Over 66
    • Receiving Housing Benefit/Council Tax Reduction
    • Receiving Working Tax Credits (subject to income)
    • Supported under part VI of the Immigration & Asylum Act 1999
    • Unemployed & receiving Income Support/Jobseekers Allowance (income based) or Employment & Support Allowance (Income Related)
      Proof of eligibility will be required
  2. The Leisure Concession Scheme is valid for 1 year from the date of issue, or until the holder is no longer eligible due to change of personal circumstances
  3. Only those with the Concession Sub added to their account will be eligible to take advantage of any of the services and discounts offered by the scheme
  4. No concessions will be granted until your application is processed
  5. It is the duty of the person applying for the scheme to provide all Leisure & Culture Dundee with all the correct information and the required authentication documents
  6. This application is processed in accordance with the General Date Protection Regulations 2018
  7. Leisure & Culture Dundee reserve the right to vary the above terms & conditions without prior notice.
